Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves. – Albert Einstein
That is a funny quote coming from such a learned man, but I’m sure Einstein wasn’t just trying to be funny. What was he trying to teach us through this?
First of all it is a matter of priority. What is most important to you? Driving or kissing? Safety or passion? The choice is completely up to you, but you need to realize that what you make a priority in your life, will shape your future. We are all different. Some people would chose safety every time, and forget the kissing. Others would not be able to stop the car fast enough in order to keep kissing. Some people prefer what they feel is a safe life, routine, a steady job, the comfort zone, and they feel safer when things are ordinary and their lives are just like everyone else’s. Then there are others who put less priority on security and more on freedom, who prefer the wild and unconventional, who want to discover new horizons no matter what stands in the way. I would not call them reckless, but fearless.
Secondly it is also a matter of passion. If you are like me, you have goals and dreams, big ones. But if you really want to live that dream and reach that goal, are you giving the goal or the dream the attention it deserves, or are you just busy “driving safely”,maintaining what you have and afraid to mess things up. If you are not passionate about your dream, something else will surely take your time and attention away from making it a reality. If you are not enthusiastic about your goals to the point that nothing else really matters in comparison, your goals will always remain in front of you, out of reach and elusive.
Stop the car, the routine, and give the bliss in your life the attention it deserves!
